Turbine flow meters perform best at 1-10 cP viscosity, with an acceptable range up to 100 cP. Higher viscosity slows the rotor, while very low viscosity reduces accuracy. Check manufacturer specifications.

Choosing the right flow meter depends on factors like the type of liquid, temperature, pressure, flow rate, pipe size, and whether the liquid contains particulates. You should also consider accuracy requirements.

Turbine flow meters offer cost-effective, high-accuracy measurement with fast response times for clean liquids and gases. Coriolis meters provide mass flow but are more expensive, complex, and less ideal for high-volume applications.
